James Paul Mitchell
Nashville Guitarist, Songwriter, Producer
James Paul Mitchell began touring at 18, playing guitar around the country with artists ranging from ethiopian pop singer Betty G to the Jerry Garcia Band. Throughout his career he’s continued to play with various indie and americana artists both nationally and internationally as well as tour playing his own material both solo and with a full band. Since moving to Nashville by way of New York/Denver, Jamie’s played the role of a touring sideman and session musician, often playing pedal and lap steel as well as guitar and bass. His upcoming record reminds us of Jamie’s many other talents through a well curated set of moody, intimate, original songs about his life and travels played on nylon string guitar. The album showcases his aptitude as a songwriter and unvarnished folk singer and will leave you humming a few of his darker tunes whether you want to or not.
